Current trends to privatize third spaces, make them available for some folks but not all. However, the idea of the third space is that it is supposed to be FOR ALL! Examples of third spaces include parks, public libraries, cafes, spiritual centers, movie theaters, malls, and town squares (like Pioneer Courthouse Square). These places promote gathering and allow for connectivity among diverse groups of people and all kinds of activity.
